Bassett Creek conducting second week of celebration Bassett Creek Baptist Church will be conducting its second annual week of celebration beginning Sunday, Sept. 17 and continuing through Wednesday, Sept. 20. There will be no service on Monday evening. Pastor Chris Kynard said, "We look forward to this week every year. These four services will allow us to be blessed by some of the choice men of God in South Alabama. We invite everyone to join us for what we believe is going to truly be a life-changing week." On Sept. 17, the 11 a.m. speaker will be Dr. James Best of Thomasville Baptist Church. The 6 p.m. speaker will be Andy Mims, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Linden. Tuesday, Sept. 19, Mike Maloy, pastor of Stave Creek Baptist Church in Jackson will deliver the message at 7 p.m. The Wednesday service will be at 7 p.m. with Howard Gaston of Evergreen Baptist Church speaking. There will be a singing at each service and a nursery will be provided.
