Woman's Club conducts meeting

The Woman's Club of Jackson conducted their first meeting of the 2006-2007 year on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at the First United Methodist Church in Jackson. President Betty Milstead, seated left, called the meeting to order. The yearly budget was approved and yearbooks were distributed informing members of their committees and hostess duties. A luncheon of quiche, fruit salad and poppy seed bread was served to the members. Hostesses for the meeting were Nancy Woodson, Jean McInnis, Peggy Stewart and Susan Long. Officers shown (L-R) seated are Milstead, Jean McInnis, vice president, Peggy Stewart, corresponding secretary and Gretchen Heathcock, custodian; standing is Martha Hayes, treasurer.
