Letter to the Editor
Remembering hometown kindness during Katrina
Dear Editor,

As the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina arrives, we just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who helped us make it through this past year!

Our world was turned upside down as were so many others here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We were welcomed back to our hometown with open arms and words really can't express our gratitude for that! While the struggles have been many over this past year, the outpouring of support and love has been greater.

We would like to especially thank State Farm agent John Brown and his staff ... we would have been completely lost in the insurance world without your help and guidance!

To Kevin and Katherine Brunson ... you gave us a place to live and to call home while we were displaced! To all of our family and friends ... your time was

given and your patience was tested. Thanks to all of you guys for your help, love, support and dedication.

Even though this day is filled with sadness and tears, the hope of tomorrow is promising and inspiring. I would like to encourage anyone who would like to, to get involved with the rebuilding. Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity are still looking for volunteers, along with numerous other organizations.

Any help will be worth it! The work isn't over with by far, but with continued support, we will make it through!!! Our coast will soon return to its former glory!!! We will come back BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER!!! Thank You!
