Wednesday wreck injures one
One person was injured in a wreck, which occurred Wednesday, Aug. 30, around 9 a.m., on Walker Springs Road north of Jackson. Marquita Frowner of Walker Springs was injured when her 1994 Honda Accord (left photo) struck the rear of a 1999 Ford Explorer (right photo) driven by Shirley Bowe. At the scene, Bowe stated that she was forced to stop quickly when a pickup truck pulled from Baton Rouge Road into her path, causing Frowner to strike her from behind. She said after speaking briefly with the driver of the pickup, he left the scene of the crash. Frowner's vehicle was damaged extensively and Frowner was transported to Jackson Medical Center by JETS ambulance. Jackson Police Officer Brian Clarke was the investigating officer.
