Scogin receives honors from University of Alabama
Scogin, a UA Honors College student, a premedicine/biology major, has been recognized as a President's List student as the result of achieving a 4.0 gradepoint average at the completion of her freshman year. She was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Freshman Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Sigman Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization. Scogin also attended the Alpha Epsilon Delta National Premedical Honor Society national convention in St. Louis, Mo. At UA, she is an active member of Pi Beta Phi social sorority. A 2005 graduate of Jackson High School where she was valedictorian of her class, Scogin is the recipient of the UA Lamar Hutcheson Endowed Scholarship, the UA Alumni Heritage Scholarship, the UA Scholar Award Scholarship and the UA President's Cabinet Scholarship.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Scogin, the granddaughter of Suzanne and Bud Scogin, all of Jackson and Karleen Adkins of Chattanooga, Tenn. and the late James L. Adkins.
