Neal Sherman exchange vows on July 15 in Perry's Chapel

Mr. and Mrs. David Lee Neal
Eula Sheffield Sherman and David Lee Neal were united in marriage on July 15, 2006 at Jones Methodist Protestant Church in Perry's Chapel.

The Rev. Reggie Smith officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

Parents of the bride and groom are Willie Sheffield of Thomasville and the late Katie Lou Sheffield and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Neal Jr. of Whynot, Miss.

Bows of white and peach ribbon and ivy accented the entrance doors of the church.

Eight large ferns were placed on the stands at the altar. There was a 15-tiered white candelabra in the center of the altar with a kneeling bench placed in the front.

A white unity candelabra was placed near the altar. As the groom's parents were seated, "The Wedding" was played. Placed in the recesses of the windows were candles accented with white and peach lace and ivy.

Nuptial music was presented by Suzie Smith of Perry's Chapel.

The bride, given in marriage by her son, Steve Sherman, wore a candlelight gown of heavy satin, beaded with pearls and bridal sequins. The sweetheart neckline and scalloped waist matched the sheer sleeves. The skirt was accented with appliques of French lace, beaded with pearls and sequins. A cathedral train flowed behind the gown.

Bridesmaids were Teresa Robarts, maid of honor and Brooke Marshall, daughter and granddaughter of the bride, both of Perry's Chapel.

They wore violet satin floorlength gowns and carried bouquets of peach and ivory flowers.

Flower girl, Allison Sherman, granddaughter of the bride, carried an ivory basket filled with rose petals.

Ringbearer Madison Queen, granddaughter of the groom, carried an ivory pillow covered with lace, pearls and ribbons.

They wore matching tea length candlelight dresses.

Best man was Christopher Neal, son of the groom and groomsman was Chad Roberson, both of Meridian, Miss.

Ushers were James Marshall, grandson of the bride of Perry's Chapel and Tommy Smith of Meridian.

The bride's book was placed on a table in front of the church. It was covered with a candlelight lace cloth and was attended by Brittany McKee.

Reception

The reception was conducted in the fellowship hall of the church.

The bride's table was covered with an ivory lace linen cloth and held a three-tiered wedding cake, accented with peach and ivory roses and greenery. Serving at the bride's table was Faye Pettis, cousin of the bride of Mobile.

Slush punch and lemon water were served from crystal punch bowls by Tanya Roberson of Quitman, Miss. and Mary Jordan, sister of the bride of Saraland.

The groom's table held a chocolate cake with chocolate covered strawberries and was served by Ashley Johnson of Philadelphia, Miss.

An assortment of finger foods including fruit,vegetable and meat trays, chicken salad ball, chicken salad and pimento cheese sandwiches and dips were served by Elaine Windham.

After a honeymoon to Destin, Fla., the couple is residing in Whynot, Miss.
