Civil jury week begins Aug. 21

Civil jury week begins Monday, Aug. 21, in the Circuit Court of Washington County, and by tradition a grand jury will hear evidence on criminal cases during the same week.

The following cases are on the civil docket:

Estate of Forrest Barney Holmes vs. Ross Holmes Jr., bad faith/fraud; Robert E. Stiltner vs. Herseg's Automotive Parts, bad faith/fraud; Little Bend Timber Co. vs. Molpus Timberlands Management, other.

Deidra Younge Lofton vs. David Shane Sullivan, motor vehicle negligence; John Brunson vs. Crosby's Creek Oil and Gas, real property damages; Ralph Morris vs. Liberty Building Products, appeal.

Agnes Williams Surrett vs. Sue Thompson Tait, motor vehicle negligence; Walter L. Patrick vs. Larry Frith, transferred to circuit court; Gordon Nicholson Hearn vs. Southwest Bank, other.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. vs. D & L Timber Co., contract; Jimmy Cotton vs. Astrobrick and Stone Manufacturing Co., general negligence; Frank William Loescher vs. Terrence De Vone Sloan, motor vehicle negligence.

Town of Millry vs. Oasis, contract; Jason Larry Cunningham Jr. vs. Michael S. Allen, motor vehicle negligence; Kristina L. Moss vs. Charles B. Frey, motor vehicle negligence; Ford Motor Credit Co. vs. Jesse Crager, other.
