Traci Augusta Atchison and Michael Franklin Turley Jr. were recently honored at several showers and parties.

Bridal Brunch

A bridal brunch was held in the River Hill Baptist Church fellowship hall on Saturday, Nov. 19 in honor of the bride-elect.

Hostesses were Mrs. Gerry Brannan, Mrs. Curtis Miller, Mrs. Larry Robinson, Mrs. George Hudson, Mrs. Roy Atchison, Mrs. Gerry Pugh, Mrs. Jesse Williams, Mrs. Harold White, Mrs. James Atchison, Mrs. Fred Green, Merrilon May, Margaret Seymore and Hazel Odom.

Special guests attending were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Atchison, parents of the bride-elect, Mrs. Al Atchison, sister-in-law of the bride-elect, Emily and Anna Atchison, nieces of the bride-elect.

The room was decorated with large ferns. Candle decorations in the bride’s chosen colors were placed on the table that held an array of finger foods and punch. The hostesses and guests presented many useful gifts to the bride-elect.

Bridal Shower

On the evening of Nov. 26, a miscellaneous bridal shower was held at the Handly Baptist Church in Handly, W. Va.

The church fellowship hall was decorated with bride’s chosen colors of plum and white.

Following games and refreshments, the bride-elect was presented gifts.

Special guests attending were the groom’s mother, Mrs. Michael Turley Sr., his sister, Mrs. Mark Starcher, and aunts, Linda Grey and Jane Branevich.

Surprise Shower

The couple was surprised by Traci’s co-workers with a miscellaneous shower on Dec. 10 at the home of Lee Ann and Lannis Little of Maryville, Tenn.

The home was decorated for Christmas and was the setting of the annual Christmas party for the group.

Guests brought an assortment of gifts for the couple.
