Terry Phillips elected Chairman of Community Bankers Association

In its final business session of the 19th Annual Convention & Trade Show, the Community Bankers Association of Alabama’s membership elected as its chairman Terry Phillips, president and CEO of First United Security Bank in Thomasville.
"Providing value for community bankers in all that we do is the basis for our existence," stated President & CEO Scott Latham, in addressing the largest convention in the association’s history.
Newly elected chairman and native of Choctaw County, Phillips, pledged to hard work and commitment to growing the association in a number of facets in the coming year. "I want to encourage an even stronger commitment from members as we work together to advance community banking across the state," stated Phillips.
Phillips and his wife, Sandra have two adult children, two grandchildren and one daughter at home, Deanna, who currently attends Thomasville High School. Phillips is the son of Hayward and Gracie Rae Phillips of Gilbertown.
