People who own Indian ar-tifacts can get questions answered about them this Saturday by archaeologists from two area universities.

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Clarke County Museum located at the intersection of Jackson and Cobb Streets in Grove Hill. There is no charge to the public.

Archaeologists with the Universities of Alabama and South Alabama will be at the museum to celebrate Ar-chaeology Week in Alabama. They will be available to answer questions from the public regarding most types of artifacts from Native American to historical things like nails, dishes, bottles and tools.

By looking at the artifacts, the archaeologists can help date items, tell what they were used for and where they came from. They cannot appraise items and will not be examining fossils.
