According to Jackson Police reports, Johnny Earl Causey, 69, was headed north in a 2001 Dodge Durango and attempted to turn left into Catholic Social Services, located just north of Edgewood. He apparently turned into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Ethel Young Autry, 56 of Coffeeville. Autry and Cindy L. Causey, 53, a passenger in Causey's vehicle received what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to Jackson Medical Center for treatment. The Jackson Fire Department also responded. The fire burned a number of acres approximately 3 miles from U.S. Highway 43. St. Stephens initially responded with its brush truck, but upon arrival discovered the fire to be much larger than originally thought and called for one of the department's pumper trucks to be brought to the scene. For awhile, firefighters were unable to gain access to the road to the hunting camp due to a locked gate. Once the lock was removed they were able to better fight the blaze keeping it away from the camp. Due to the size of the fire, Wagarville and Leroy fire departments were called to the scene to assist. Firefighters remained for at least two hours until they were confident the fire was out and did not threaten any structures. He apparently turned into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Ethel Young Autry, 56 of Coffeeville. Autry and Cindy L.
